Privacy Policy

Lead Scout is a Windows program made by Turn Me Digital. This policy explains what happens to your information when you buy it, activate it and use it.
The short version
The leads you find stay on your own computer. We never receive them, and there is no account to create. The only thing Lead Scout sends us is what we need to check your license.
What Lead Scout keeps on your computer
- Every search you run and every business it finds, in a database file on your PC
- Your Places API key and your license key, in a settings file on your PC
- A log of what the app did, so we can help if something goes wrong
None of this is uploaded anywhere. It lives in your own Windows user data folder, and removing that folder removes all of it.
What Lead Scout sends us
When you activate your license, and when the app checks it again later, it sends your license key and an anonymous code that stands for your computer. Nothing else — no name, no email address, and nothing about what you searched for.
It is used for one purpose: keeping a license working on one computer at a time, and letting you move it when you change machines.
What happens when you search
Lead Scout searches using your own Places API key, from your computer. Those searches go to Google under your own Google Cloud account, and Google's terms and privacy policy apply to them. We never see them.
Lead Scout then visits each business's own website to look for an email address, a WhatsApp link and what the site is built with. Those visits come from your computer and your internet connection, so it is your requests those websites see, not ours.
When you buy
Lead Scout is sold through Gumroad and Digistore24. The platform you buy from is the seller of record: it takes the payment and holds your payment details. We never see your card.
The platform passes on the order details we need — your name, your email address and your order number — so that we can deliver your license key and help you if something goes wrong.
We only send the email you would expect: your license key, how to get Lead Scout running, replies to your support messages, and anything else you specifically ask us for. We do not run a newsletter or a marketing list, and we never sell or rent your email address.
How to unsubscribe
If we ever send you a newsletter or any other marketing email, every message carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom of it. One click takes you off the list — you do not have to sign in, give a reason, or send anything back to us, and we will not add you again.
You can also ask to be unsubscribed at any time through our contact page, and we will remove you within one business day. After that the only thing we still hold is the record of your purchase, which we have to keep for accounting.
This website
Our pages are served from our own hosting. Two things come from elsewhere:
- a styling library from a public CDN, which the sales page needs to look right
- on the Digistore24 version of the sales page, Digistore24's own script, which may set a cookie so that an affiliate is credited if you buy
We do not use analytics and we do not track you across other websites. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — the page requested, the time, the browser and the IP address it came from — for security and for fixing problems.
How long we keep things
License records last as long as the license does. Order and support emails are kept while we may still need them for support, accounting or tax.
Your choices
Ask us through our contact page if you want to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. We answer within one business day.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
